What You Need to Know About Our Upgraded Proofing Gallery Experience

We're always looking for opportunities to improve Dream Anchor Photography, and we recently decided to upgrade our proofing gallery for our clients. It's a monumental shift from where we were, and we're launching into the 21st Century with a nearly all-inclusive experience for our customers and us.

It's a one-stop-shop that streamlines our client communication methods and image delivery systems and offers new levels of convenience. There's only one downside; it means we're migrating thousands upon thousands of images for archival—no small task.

Previous clients have always had the opportunity to access their galleries and even make new orders, but the old system had drawbacks. On our end, it was inefficient and lacked basic controls. For our customers, it didn't allow for us to offer robust discounts or packaging. We built our business around that model as much as possible, but we've stretched its limits long enough.

So, if you're a previous client (i.e., you had a photo session with us before September of 2021), here is what you need to know:

  1. Your old gallery no longer works.

  2. We may have already transitioned your gallery. If we have done so, the last known email we had on file is registered to receive updates as of November 5th as part of a client appreciation campaign.

  3. Suppose you do not receive a notification on that date. In that case, we may not have an up-to-date email address, we opted not to transition your gallery, or some other communication error has occurred (i.e., spam, typos, etc.)

  4. If we did not opt to transfer your gallery, this does not reflect poorly on you or our relationship with you, nor does it mean you cannot still access your gallery. We had to conserve our resources, opting for the clients we felt would benefit the most from this opportunity.

  5. If you would like to have your gallery reinstated for any reason, contact us, and we'll work with you to make arrangements.

  6. We cannot guarantee every image from every gallery is preserved. Although we work to protect the images we create for ourselves and our clients, data management has risks. The sooner you contact us about your needs, the better chance we still have the original files intact and ready for delivery.

  7. Reinstating and storing archived images is a resource-intensive proposition. As a result, we've sought value-added methods of providing archived galleries to our previous clients, and we're keeping costs low to ensure this service remains equitable.

  8. With time, we've also upgraded our photographic abilities and printing services. In light of these changes, images received today may differ from pictures obtained in the past.

We believe these changes benefit our previous, current, and future clients, and we look forward to delivering more value as a result. As with any change, we're staying open-minded about our customer experience, and we look forward to any advice our clients may have for us.

Don't hesitate to get in touch with us to discuss your gallery needs. We have several channels to start a conversation.
